First-time setup

Signup takes four steps:

1. Pick the kind of space.
2. Add your name, email, password, space name, page address, timezone and plan.
3. Turn on hourly, half-day or full-day, and enter those rates.
4. Set a buffer in minutes and a deposit percent from 1 to 100.

The kind of space you pick fills in a starting buffer, deposit percent and set of rates, and you can change any of them. When your plan allows, you can add another space later from settings.

Next, your desk shows a checklist of seven steps, each with a short video. Weekly repeat is optional and doesn't count toward the seven. You can hide the checklist.

1. Connect Stripe. Payouts need to be on before a guest can pay a deposit by card.
2. Publish your first space. Once it's named, it shows on your public page.
3. Turn on hourly, half-day or full-day.
4. Set the reset buffer in minutes, so the space stays empty between bookings.
5. Set a deposit, then require a document or write your house rules.
6. Add the door code to access notes. Guests get it 24 hours before the booking, or right away if they book with less notice than that. It never shows on your public page.
7. Record a $1 test. It's marked as refunded and doesn't charge a card.
